Nitrous Oxide Sedation for the Dental Professional

This seven hour course is designed for the dental auxiliary (RDH, DA, CDA) to review pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, characteristics of nitrous oxide as well as the indication, contraindication for inhalation analgesia.  Contributing factors such as pain management, anxiety and patient assessment as well as equipment, maintenance, documentation and procedures are covered.  This course is specially designed to meet the requirements of the North Carolina State Board of Dentistry Dental Practice Act part 13.
